TSA x Umma Health: Hispanic Heritage Month Community Event Health Fair

​Join us for the 3rd Annual South LA Hispanic Heritage Month Community Event!

​We’re expecting around 250 attendees and would love your support with health screenings. While volunteering, you’ll also get to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere, explore community resources, take in amazing performances, and share in delicious free food.

​What we’ll do:

• ​Set up our health fair for over a 250+ attendees

• ​Perform basic Blood Pressure & Glucose screenings

• ​Share health education and answer management questions

• ​All activities supervised by licensed clinicians

• ​Spanish-speaking skills are highly needed to best support our community

• ​Feel free to join to shadow and get comfortable taking screenings if you have no prior experience!

​Note: This is one of TSA’s few large community events we have throughout the year. It’s a chance to share TSA’s work, impact, and raise awareness about the increasing rates of homelessness amongst different communities all while offering health screenings to those who need it.

​Our regular shelter-site health fairs and workshops will continue throughout the semester, so join TSA to get more involved.
