Town Hall - Organizing Labor in Documentary
Our field is in crisis. As the media landscape rapidly shifts, so do the conditions of our labor – impacting our pay, our stability, and our sense of agency. Many of us are feeling these changes deeply, and it’s time to come together to discuss what a stronger, more equitable future could look like.
This DPA-hosted Town Hall is an open forum for documentary workers, organizers, and community leaders to reflect on the state of our industry and explore the role that unionization and collective action could play in shaping a more sustainable future. It’s part of a broader conversation about how we can better align our efforts across organizations, share strategies, and build power as a field.
Whether you’re actively organizing, have questions about unionization, or are just beginning to think about these issues, we invite you to join this conversation. Leadership will be listening closely and using insights from this discussion to help shape our goals and priorities in the coming years.
Let’s move from working in isolation to organizing in solidarity.
