About Event

Why is it so easy to tell someone else to choose themselves, but so damn hard to do it ourselves?

We feel guilty saying no. Guilty asking for help. Guilty resting. Guilty wanting more. Guilty changing our minds. Sometimes we even feel guilty admitting that the life we’ve worked so hard to build might not be exactly what we want anymore.

Especially when we’re mothers.

Because choosing ourselves rarely happens in a vacuum. There are partners, kids, careers, parents, expectations, responsibilities, and a whole lot of people who are used to us being the person who holds everything together.

What happens when what you want conflicts with what everyone else expects from you?

For this conversation, Radhika (Rad) Shah-Meade will be joining us in the spotlight.

Rad is a mom and Chief of Staff at Blackbird.AI, where she works in narrative intelligence and cognitive security—or, as she puts it, “the part of the internet where facts go to argue.”

She has spent the last decade working in high-stakes environments across biotech, media, national security, and frontier AI, often as the person holding the vision, running the operation, and making sure the thing actually gets done.

She also has ADHD, believes in designing lives and systems around the brains we actually have, and is passionate about women building careers in rooms that weren’t designed with them in mind.

But Rad isn’t joining us because she has choosing yourself all figured out.

She’s joining us because she’s figuring it out too.

Moderating our conversation will be Monica Chen, a former investment banker, rock climber, and woman who knows a thing or two about questioning the path you’re “supposed” to follow and figuring out what you actually want instead.

Together, we’ll talk about where our guilt comes from, whose expectations we’re carrying, what we actually want, and what choosing ourselves might look like in this season of our lives.

This isn’t a webinar. There’s no perfect answer waiting at the end.

It’s a real conversation with women who are asking some of the same questions you are.

Come with your tea, wine, messy thoughts, and whatever you’re currently figuring out.

We’ll talk about it together. ✨
