​Learn About Ayurveda and Cook a Delicious, Healthy Meal!

​Join us for an engaging event where you’ll learn about Ayurveda from an expert in both Eastern and Western Sciences and cook a flavorful dish based on its principles. We’ll be working in groups of 2-3 to cook Khichdi, an easy-to-digest and nutritious lentil and rice dish, and we’ll make a refreshing and balancing lemon juice drink to go along with it! Ayurveda is an ancient Indian form of medicine focused on healing one’s body, mind, and soul.

​Come as you are, leave more whole.

​Flow for the day:

• ​Introductions: From 10:30-11:45, we’ll open with an introduction to the event flow, organizers, about Ayurveda and healthy eating, and provide verbal instructions for cooking the food.

• ​Group Cooking: From 11:45-12:45, we’ll cook the Khichdi and make the lemon juice drink.

• ​Lunch & Social: From 12:45-1:30, we’ll eat our collaboratively cooked meal and while learning more about one another.

• ​Q&A and Closing: From 1:30-2:15, we’ll end with some basic Q&A about Ayurveda and healthy cooking, and offer a few closing remarks about how to stay in touch and future events to keep an eye out on.
