​Book Crush is a hosted singles social. We make the introductions — you get real conversations instead of twenty first impressions.

​Ever spotted someone cute across a bookstore and had absolutely no idea what to say? Ever gone to a singles night only to spend the evening talking to the two people you already came with? And ever tried speed dating, met twenty people, and felt like you got to know none of them?

​Come for a book-lined night of drinks, flirtation, and short one-on-one conversations at Liz's Book Bar. Every round we suggest one fun and easy topic to start off with and we give you more time with each person, to give you enough time to see whether there’s a spark, and leave plenty of room for the night to loosen into a party.

​Your ticket includes 4-6 introductions, for six minutes: just long enough to know if you want to keep talking after. Before the event, you fill out a 90-second profile: the profile helps us pair you and it gives the people you meet a fun and easy starting point. Optionally, you can actually let us know who you want to meet before the event and we'll introduce you two, guaranteed if it's mutual.

After the introductions, mingle with the people you're most excited to keep talking with, or flirt with someone new. You'll always have something to talk about.

At the end, trade numbers or privately tell us whom you’d like to see again.

​How the night goes (this event is hosted)

​7:30 — Doors. Grab a drink, check in with one tap, and your evening unlocks. Say hi to the event host and mingle.

​7:50 — Round one. Your phone shows exactly who you're meeting and where — you'll never wonder who to approach and we'll start you off with a fun and easy conversation starter.
You'll also know a tiny little bit about each person from a 90-second profile they made before the event: books, interests, fun facts, so you'll always know what to say.

​8:10–9:20 — More introductions, about six minutes each, with browsing and mingling between rounds. Want an opener? We'll hand you one.

​9:25 — Last round. By now the room is loud.

​10:00 — Send likes on Asaya, or just trade numbers. Chats from tonight are free to open for 7 days.

​You'll always know who to meet next. The rest feels like a party.

​Before the night — three things (3 minutes, tops)

​1. Buy your ticket. Enter your phone number at checkout so we can link it to your account. You can buy your ticket here, just use the same phone number as the one you'll use on our Asaya app (step 2)

2. Download Asaya on the App Store The app + event host handles the awkward parts so the night can feel like a party. No iPhone? You can also create a profile on our website.

3. Create your profile. 90 seconds. Done. Your responses help the right people find you, and for us to help you meet people who love what you love. You can also send likes and if you match we'll introduce you to your mutuals.

Your ticket will already be linked to your Asaya account -- we match your ticket to your phone number.
You help choose who you meet. Before the event, tell us who you’re most excited about, and we’ll use everyone’s choices to shape your introductions.

Then just show up!

​Good to know

​Can I come with a friend? Yes — grab separate tickets. You each get your own introductions, and there's open mingling all night.

Who is this for? This event is for both men and women looking to date. We also host a Sapphic Singles event

​What if a match doesn't show? No drama — you're paired with someone else who's free, and the host makes it easy.

​Do I have to be a serious reader? Not at all. One book that stayed with you is plenty.

​What should I bring? Yourself, your phone, and ID — it's a 21+ venue. Come as you are.
