Starship Flight #8 watch party

​Launch window opens at 7:30am Malaysia time.

​NOTE: Rocket launches are notoriously unpredictable, so the launch could be scrubbed (cancelled) at any moment before liftoff. The launch may also be delayed up to ~1 hour. I'll monitor and move this event if there is a scrub.

​Maximum excitement is during liftoff and the following 7 minutes, as the booster delivers Ship to space and returns to Earth for a dramatic chopstick catch attempt.

​Then there is about 45 minutes of calm as Ship glides effortlessly above Earth at an altitude of about 200km (125 miles). Here it will practice deploying experimental Starlink-like test satellites and perform an engine relight test.

​Then about 15 minutes of additional excitement as Ship returns through the atmosphere with dramatic heating and plasma glows, concluding with a controlled landing-like splashdown in the Indian Ocean.

​I'll set up at 7am, and we can watch propellant load and chat while we wait.
