Community Conversations: At a Crossroads
Community Conversations: At a Crossroads — School Closures, Community Priorities, and the Future of Philly Students
Community Conversations is a citywide series hosted by Every Voice Every Vote. These gatherings bring residents, leaders, and partners together to build connections, share lived experiences, and turn community research into solution-focused dialogue.
Philadelphia is at a defining moment for its education system. As the School District of Philadelphia considers potential school closures and consolidation, this conversation will create space for residents, community leaders, journalists, and policy advocates to explore how these decisions may impact the issues communities consistently identify as priorities. From school funding and teacher retention to facilities modernization and student supports, this is an opportunity to engage in thoughtful dialogue about the future of Philadelphia’s students and schools.
