Intergenerational Storytelling on Father's Day

​On this Father's Day, let's help seniors share their stories and feel truly heard. 💗

​We're looking for volunteers to be compassionate listeners for seniors who want to share their life stories, memories, and wisdom. Some seniors will come with family members, but many will be paired with caring volunteers who will give them the gift of being heard.

​How you can help:

• ​Welcome participants and create a warm atmosphere

• ​Serve as an engaged, caring listener for seniors' stories

• ​Help guide gentle conversations using simple prompts

• ​Assist with creating simple keepsakes for participants

​The day:

• ​2:00 PM: Welcome and introductions

• ​2:10 PM: Quick orientation on being a great listener

• ​2:20 PM: Story sharing sessions

• ​3:00 PM: Closing circle

• ​3:45 PM: Present story keepsakes to participants

​There'll be free ice cream🍦 and live piano music 🎹 to make it feel special.
