FREE Walking Tour! Welcome to Buenos Aires: Iconic Landmarks + Local Tips
Details
If you are a first-time visitor to Buenos Aires (or have not yet explored the city) this is the tour for you!
We start our tour walking tour in along Avenida 9 de Julio (9th of July Avenue), the widest avenue in the world, to appreciate the view of Buenos Aires’ most iconic landmark, Obelisco, in the heart of the city.
From there, we will take a journey through Argentina’s Belle Époque as we explore more of Buenos Aires’ architectural landmarks, lush plazas, opulent palaces and shopping galleries in one of the city’s most exclusive neighborhoods, Retiro.
Discover the legacy of Argentina’s Golden Age of economic prosperity and why Buenos Aires is called the "Paris of South America.” Gain valuable insider tips as we walk the pedestrian shopping district in Florida and Lavalle Streets, and pass through the elegant Galerías Pacífico. Learn about national hero José de San Martín, and see where he trained his famous cavalry. We’ll end our tour in front of Rapanui, a beloved spot for artisanal chocolate and ice cream, where you can indulge in a coffee or sweet treat.
The tour lasts approximately 2.5 hours.
Why is the tour free? We offer free tours to ensure travelers of all budgets can join. These tours are tip-based, meaning you decide how much to contribute at the end.
How does tipping work? At the end of the tour, your guide will provide you with details for making a tip.
