Build it Right: Kiro for Students (Option 1)

Get ready to build with Kiro, an AI-powered development environment - available for free - to select university students for one year!

During this 60 minute remote workshop, you'll go from idea to working app using Kiro's spec-driven development approach, where you stay in control while AI does the heavy lifting. You'll learn:

• Fundamentals of spec-driven development

• Human-in-the-loop AI collaboration

• Structured implementation

• Real-time debugging

• How to iterate on an existing project

No coding experience, API keys, or credit cards required - just bring your laptop and curiosity!

Unlike traditional "vibe coding" tools that leave you with code you don't understand, Kiro walks you through three clear phases - requirements, design, and implementation - ensuring you can explain every line of code you create. Whether you're working on class projects, preparing for hackathons, building a startup MVP, or just tired of copying code you don't understand, this workshop will give you the confidence to build, iterate, and scale real projects.

Walk away with the skills to replicate everything you learned on your own - plus the freedom to experiment, the power to build, and the confidence to iterate on future projects!
