This talk will explore the geologic origins of our landscape, from the collision of tectonic plates to the impact of a massive continental glacier. We'll learn how these forces created the landforms and ecology of Cape Ann, and influenced our industry, art and culture.
Ed Becker is the former president of Essex County Greenbelt, a nonprofit land trust that has conserved over 20,000 acres of land north of Boston. Over a long career, he was active in state and national conservation policy, practice and advocacy.
