Speaker Bio:
Dr. Dimitris Lizos is an accomplished pharmaceutical executive and scientist with over two decades of expertise bridging rigorous drug discovery and strategic global business development. He began his career at the bench as a medicinal chemist and program team head, driving interdisciplinary research projects that advanced novel compounds into clinical development, including one now approaching the market. In addition, during his time at the Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research, he pioneered emerging technology platforms and helped establish new areas of scientific innovation.
Over the past years, Dr. Lizos has focused his leadership on external innovation and corporate business development, leading high-impact licensing transactions, M&A, and international partnerships. In his current role as Head of Business Development for Oncology at Roche, he combines deep scientific expertise with extensive experience in partnering and a broad global network across the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, venture capital, and academic communities to identify and shape opportunities that can advance the next generation of cancer therapies.
Dr. Lizos holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Strathclyde and completed postdoctoral research at The Scripps Research Institute.
