Can Consumers Drive the Sustainability Agenda? A Data-Driven Discussion
Are we finally within reach of a tipping point where consumers are inclined and empowered to drive the sustainability agenda?
Hosted by the NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business, GlobeScan and Sustainable Brands, this convening will explore where consumers are really at, moving beyond the often-outdated myths and conventional wisdom surrounding sustainable consumerism.
The session will open with Chris Coulter, CEO of GlobeScan, Randi Kronthal-Sacco, Senior Scholar and Adjunct Professor at the NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business, and KoAnn Vikoren Skrzyniarz, Founder and CEO of Sustainable Brands sharing novel research on consumer attitudes, behaviours and purchasing data to establish the facts.
The session will then bring perspective from leading brand leaders on how consumer engagement is evolving and the role that businesses can play in turning consumer interest into meaningful action. The panel will feature:
Karen Pflug, CSO at Ingka Group
Ria Stout, Chief Programme Officer at Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)
David Eichberg, Vice President for Sustainability Strategy at Mastercard
Janeva Morfaw, Lead, Sustainable Selection, Product Sustainability at Amazon
The conversation will then open to the wider group, creating an interactive discussion about how we can better mobilize 8 billion people to live differently and better.
The main program will run from 8:30–10:00 am, with coffee and pastries available from 8:00 am. Attendees are invited to stay for an optional networking session until 10:30 am.
Due to limited capacity, registration is subject to approval. You'll receive an email confirming your attendance status after your request has been reviewed.
