An Evening with Indigenous Elder Txaná Tuwe Huni Kuin
Join us for a powerful ceremonial gathering guided by Txaná Tuwe, an Indigenous spiritual and community leader from the Brazilian Amazon.
Txaná is devoted to preserving ancestral culture, protecting sacred medicines, and developing sustainable initiatives for his community along the Humaitá River. He is a dedicated teacher of Huni Kuin culture, language, music, and traditions, carrying forward teachings passed down through generations.
This evening is an invitation to ground, clear, and reconnect through sacred medicine, song, and community.
What Is Hapé?
Hapé (pronounced ha-PAY), also known as rapé, is a sacred medicinal tobacco snuff used by Indigenous tribes of the Amazon for thousands of years.
It is a blend of finely ground Nicotiana rustica tobacco and other medicinal plants, herbs, and tree barks. Traditionally, Hapé is used to:

Clear mental chatter
Support emotional release
Restore spiritual, mental, and physical balance
Participation in the Hapé ceremony is optional and always offered with respect, consent, and guidance.
