The AI Workflow Clinic: Fix One Broken Process
AI doesn't fail at your organization because of the tool. It fails at the handoff. A free 90-minute hands-on workshop on Wednesday, September 16 at The Village Workspace, Centennial CO, from 4 - 6 pm, part of Colorado Startup Week. 35 seats, RSVP required.
Almost every piece of AI adoption advice is written for people who chose the tool. At most organizations, nobody chose it. It arrived, and the people expected to use it did not ask for it, do not trust it yet, and are measured on something else entirely.
This session teaches the diagnostic that separates AI adoption that lands from AI adoption that stalls, and puts you through it on one of your own workflows.
Agenda
4:00 to 4:30 PM · Networking, food, and drinks. Also the arrival window for the after-work crowd.
4:30 to 6:00 PM · The 90-minute workshop. Includes a 25-minute open clinic where volunteers put a real workflow on the wall and get it diagnosed live.
What you’ll actually do in the room
Map one workflow across four things: what triggers it, where a human is deciding rather than just doing, where the work changes hands, and where somebody decides whether to trust the output.
Then assign the AI role step by step, not workflow by workflow. Most organizations ask “should we use AI for client onboarding,” and the answer is always a mushy sort of. The useful question is which of the nine steps.
Then target the training at the handoffs, not the software. Which is where training budgets usually go, and part of why adoption stalls anyway.
Three failure patterns the session names
→ Volunteer bias. The pilot worked because everyone in it wanted it there. The rollout includes everyone else.
→ The trust event. One visibly wrong output costs months of adoption, and it is almost never the model’s fault.
→ The handoff gap. AI makes a step faster and the handoff worse, so cycle time does not move and nobody can see why. Who this is for

Sumaiya Shrabony Technical Program Manager at University of Colorado Denver will run the workshop. She is an AI Adoption lead and BI practitioner who manages enterprise analytics infrastructure.
