Comms After Hours: London edition
High Context is coming back to London!
After our first gatherings in London and San Francisco, we’re bringing curious comms and marketing minds together for an evening of sparkling conversation, new connections, and a little end-of-year cheer over a cocktail or two.
Before the festive frenzy begins, here’s your invitation to step away from the inbox, raise a glass with old friends, and strike up a conversation with someone new.
On the menu:
A meeting of storytellers, strategists, and curious minds. Come to exchange ideas, catch up with familiar faces, and make new friends.
A little mystery. A sealed envelope, a question nobody’s seen, and a conversation that could take any number of unexpected turns. You’ll also get to leave a question of your own for someone to discover at our next gathering.
Dinner, drinks, and delightful distractions. Eight food traders, two bars, and plenty of excuses to linger over a cocktail or discover a new favorite dish.
The Open Question
We all know (and dread) the question: “So, what do you do?” It’s the unofficial opening line of every networking event, and one we’d happily retire.
So we’re changing the script with the Open Question.
Here’s how it works. On every table, you’ll find a sealed envelope containing a mystery question. It might be a hot take, a curious what-if, or something you’d never think to ask a stranger. Read the question aloud and see where the conversation goes.
Before the evening ends, it’s your turn to write down a question you’d love someone else to answer. We’ll save all questions, tuck them into fresh envelopes, and save them for our next High Context gathering.
(Imagine a question scribbled over cocktails in London finding its way to a table in Berlin, or sparking a lively debate in a room in Brussels!)
We’ll share the best answers within the High Context community, so you can follow your question’s journey and discover what fellow comms minds made of it.
The Details
We’ll be gathering at Market Halls Paddington, from 6 to 8 pm, with eight food traders, two bars, and plenty of good company.
The evening is free to attend. Food and drinks are yours to choose and buy directly at the venue.
We’re keeping numbers limited, so please only save a spot if you can make it. If plans change, please give us a heads-up at least 24 hours in advance so someone else can join the event.
Can't wait to see you there,
Ruxandra, Sandra and Olha (aka the High Context team) 🩷
