Join our St. John Chrysostom parish family for Divine Liturgy, a fall hike, and fellowship at Saint Edward State Park. We’ll gather for worship and follow the Grotto Trail through the woods toward Lake Washington, taking time to enjoy creation and one another’s company.
Theosis is our lifelong journey into communion with God. These gatherings bring together the worship at the heart of our life in Christ and the friendships that help us walk that journey together.
What to expect
Divine Liturgy together in the beauty of God’s creation.
A 1.1-mile out-and-back hike, with approximately 320 feet of elevation gain. The route is rated moderate, with some steep sections on the return.
Bring your own picnic for fellowship afterward, weather permitting.
What to bring
Wear sturdy shoes and bring rain gear, warm layers, water, and your picnic. Be prepared for wet or muddy trails. A Discover Pass or day pass is required for parking.
