  • Ms. Marilyn McClam-Mack, Assistant Professor and Coordinator of Clinical Education for the Master of Speech-Language Pathology Program at Francis Marion University, will share her insights into the field of Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) and the process of becoming an SLP. With over 24 years of experience in settings such as hospitals, long-term care, home health, private practice, and schools, Ms. McClam-Mack will discuss the educational pathway, clinical training process, and professional opportunities within the SLP field.

  • This event will give students a clear understanding of the SLP profession, including graduate school preparation, clinical education requirements, and what to expect in various clinical and rehabilitation settings. Students will also have the opportunity to ask questions directly to a licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologist with experience mentoring and training future SLPs. This is a great opportunity to gain firsthand insight into the SLP profession and learn from a professional dedicated to helping others improve communication and quality of life.
