The Readers' Room #15 | Koramangala
Read with your fellow readers 📚
“If you want to be a writer, you must do two things above all others: read a lot and write a lot. There's no way around these two things that I'm aware of, no shortcut.”
— Stephen King (Goodreads)
It is undeniable that reading only makes one a better writer. Therefore, every 5th meetup of The Writers' Room will be a reader's room, where we'll all join in to grab a cup of tea or coffee and read a book for a few hours.
📅 Date: Sunday, Oct 11th, 12 pm onwards
📍 Location: Koramangala, Bengaluru (Final spot will be shared with approved attendees)
🎟️ Entry fee: No registration fee, but please order some food/beverages (venue will be a café)
Meetup Agenda
Here's the agenda of the meetup:
12 PM to 3 PM: Focus time for reading
3 PM onwards: Show-and-tell
The priority of this meetup is to create space for reading with fellow community members, so every accepted attendee must carry a book (or an e-reading alternative, like a Kindle).
Important Note: Not another "networking" event! ❌
Apologies for sounding blunt, but please only apply to attend this meetup if you are willing to spend a couple of hours quietly reading on your own without constantly talking to other people.
The purpose of this meetup is to let folks read in a common space; there are plenty of other avenues and events in this city to talk to other people.
