Nafsi Anti-Networking Nights | Conscious Consumption and the Cost of Distraction
Half there: An evening on conscious consumption and the cost of distraction
This is one of Nafsi's anti-networking nights at Mishkah, where you'll leave knowing people, not job titles. Come find familiar faces and meet new ones. This is a room worth coming back to. The only rule is, till the end of the talk no one asks a participant what they do for a living.
We live in the most distracted age in human history and we did not choose it, it was designed that way. Every scroll, every notification, every algorithmically curated feed is engineering your attention away from the people sitting right in front of you.
This evening we talk about what that is costing our relationships, how social media can feed our biases, how presence has become rare enough to feel like a gift, and what it actually takes to put the phone down and show up fully for the people we love. Come ready to be a little uncomfortable about your screen time and leave a little more present.
Join us on the 7th of October at Mishkah from 7:30-9 pm.
