Care for the Caregiver ; Mental Health & Self-Care!
While sickle cell disease primarily affects the individual diagnosed, the burden extends deeply to caregivers, particularly mothers. These Warrior Moms manage health crises, finances, and emotional well-being simultaneously.
In many cases, caregiving disrupts income, limits business growth, and increases emotional strain. Insights from NOB Foundation’s 2025 Warrior Moms Project revealed the need for continuous support beyond financial aid.
This session focuses on equipping Warrior Moms with practical self-care tools, mental health awareness, and sustainable coping strategies.
This session is designed to support Warrior Moms in prioritising their own health and well-being while navigating the demands of caregiving. It creates a safe and practical space for participants to understand caregiver burnout, adopt sustainable self-care practices, and build resilience in the face of ongoing challenges. By combining expert guidance with lived experiences, the session aims to equip mothers with tools they can realistically integrate into their daily lives, while also fostering a sense of community and shared support.
