The Builders' Happy Hour — November Event
For the past year, I've had the pleasure of hosting StartupNash Happy Hours (and Founder Fridays) for Kelley. As Kelley winds down StartupNash, I'm excited to continue bringing this wonderful community together under my own banner — The Builders' Happy Hour!
Some of my favorite people are people who build things.
Companies. Consulting practices. Startups. Creative businesses. Hospitality businesses. Professional-services firms. New ideas inside existing companies. Sometimes an entirely new career around something they’re ridiculously good at.
And my definition of “entrepreneur” is pretty darn expansive.
You don’t need a tech startup. You don’t need venture funding. You definitely don’t need a pitch deck.
Maybe you’re a founder. Maybe you’re a consultant or fractional leader. Maybe you’re building a business around your expertise. Maybe your work is helping other entrepreneurs build what they’re building.
If you’re building something — or helping other people build something — there’s probably room for you.
The Builders’ Happy Hour is a place for those people to find each other.
And because this is me, it’s especially friendly to ADHD and neurodivergent brains.
You absolutely do not need a diagnosis to come. But if your brain is nonlinear, idea-generating, curious, occasionally ridiculous, or prone to interrupting itself with, “Wait — what if we did THIS?” — you’ll probably find some of your people here.
This isn’t a workshop. There’s no presentation. I promise not to give you homework. And we are absolutely not standing in a circle giving 90-second founder pitches.
Come have a drink. Talk about what you’re building. Talk about the problem you can’t stop thinking about. Meet somebody whose work is completely different from yours. Have an unexpectedly useful conversation. Or an unexpectedly useless but extremely entertaining one.
Business building is the category. Neurodivergent-friendly is the DNA.
Bring your interesting brain.
