Breaking Into VC: Summer Internship Info Session
Breaking into venture capital as an undergraduate can feel opaque and intimidating, especially when recruiting timelines vary by firm and expectations aren’t always clear. This info session is designed to give you a transparent, insider look at how VC internships work and what top firms look for in candidates.
We’ll be joined by representatives from Insight Partners, a global software investment firm with $80B+ AUM, and Bessemer Venture Partners, a multi-stage firm investing from seed through growth across sectors. Both firms will explain their company focus, team structure, and recruiting timelines both generally and specifically for their 2026 summer internship cycles.
This event is hosted by Girls Into VC, a global community of 10,000+ young women across 75+ countries working to build accessible pathways into venture capital through fellowships, externships, mentorship, and educational programming.
During the session, we’ll cover:
How VC recruiting works for undergraduates
What VC teams look for in summer analyst candidates
Firm-by-firm recruitment timelines and expectations
Application tips and recruiting advice directly from investors
How to prepare and stand out in interviews
Live Q&A with representatives from Insight Partners and Bessemer
Breakout rooms for each firm so you can ask tailored, firm-specific questions
Both Insight Partners and Bessemer currently have summer internship applications open, making this a timely opportunity for students preparing to apply.
This session is especially helpful for undergraduates graduating Dec 2027 – June 2028, but all students interested in venture capital are encouraged to attend.
