IEP Goals: The Best Practices for Sustaining Meaningful Progress
Join special education advocate Joseph Martinez for an in depth training focused on understanding how effective IEP goals are developed, monitored, and implemented to create meaningful and lasting student progress.
Participants will learn what makes a goal legally and educationally meaningful, how progress is tracked over time, and how to identify when goals and services are not properly aligned.
Drawing from real-world advocacy experience, this training will help participants break down common issues in IEP development-such as vague or immeasurable goals, unclear progress monitoring systems, and mismatches between services and student needs.
By the end of the session, attendees will be able to critically evaluate IEP goals, ask informed questions during meetings, and better advocate appropriate supports that reflect a student's needs.
