Workshop FALL TO FLY – beginner & intermediate, led by Guru Suraj & Adrianna Michalska, international CI facilitators.
Workshop exploring the principles of gravity, momentum & touch in falling and flying while dancing solo and with others.
We will visit basic skills and principles of Contact Improvisation.
During this workshop we will explore: conservation of momentum, cultivating sensation of streaming, allowing your movements to flow continuously, creating a deeper sense of ease in falling & flying.
We will:
- train landing paths and reflexes
- find different flights on low and high levels
- practice orientation in destabilized and disoriented moments
- explore new approach towards balance and off-balance
- engage in an inner understanding of body weight
- trust new ways of communicating with others
Contact Improvisation (CI) is about discovering creative movement in connection with others—no choreography, just playful exploration using touch, mutual support, and communication through movement.
It’s dance with no steps, where presence and curiosity drive each interaction. CI brings together people who “WANNA PLAY”—because in CI, collaboration, trust, and curiosity are at the core.
Guru Suraj is a visual and movement artist dedicated to research, community organizing, and cross-disciplinary performance.
He holds a Bachelor's in Painting from the Government College of Fine Arts, Chennai, and a Master's in Philosophy of Yoga from Tamilnadu Physical Education and Sports University.
With 15 years of practice in Contact Improvisation and somatic techniques, he has facilitated cultural exchange across India, Europe, the United States, and Canada.
Adrianna Michalska is a Contact Improvisation dancer, facilitator, and independent artist with a background in somatics, contemporary dance, and improvisation.
She holds a Dance and Culture degree from the University of Surrey, completed the Next Choreography course at Siobhan Davies Studios, and is a certified DanceAbility teacher.
Her work explores collective creativity through shared attention, perception, and decision-making.
She has performed and taught workshops across India, Thailand, Romania, Poland, the UK, Singapore, Malaysia, the United States, Germany, Spain, and beyond.

Workshop FALL TO FLY – Cơ bản & Trung cấp, dẫn dắt bởi Guru Suraj & Adrianna Michalska hai facilitator Contact Improvisation quốc tế.
Workshop khám phá các nguyên lý về trọng lực, đà chuyển động & xúc chạm trong việc ngã và bay khi nhảy solo và cùng người khác.
Chúng ta sẽ tìm hiểu các kỹ năng và nguyên lý cơ bản của Contact Improvisation.
Trong workshop này, chúng ta sẽ khám phá: bảo toàn đà chuyển động, nuôi dưỡng cảm giác dòng chảy, để chuyển động tiếp diễn liên tục, tạo cảm giác thư thái sâu hơn khi ngã & bay.
Chúng ta sẽ:
Luyện tập các đường tiếp đất và phản xạ
Tìm kiếm những cách bay bằng cơ thể ở tầm thấp và tầm cao
Thực hành định hướng trong những khoảnh khắc mất thăng bằng và mất phương hướng
Khám phá cách tiếp cận mới với thăng bằng và mất thăng bằng
Thấu hiểu trọng lượng cơ thể từ bên trong
Tin tưởng vào những cách giao tiếp mới với người khác
Contact Improvisation (CI) là hành trình khám phá chuyển động sáng tạo trong kết nối với người khác – không có biên đạo, chỉ là sự khám phá vui tươi thông qua chạm, hỗ trợ lẫn nhau và giao tiếp qua thân thể.
Đây là điệu nhảy không có bước đi cố định, nơi sự hiện diện và tò mò dẫn dắt từng tương tác.
CI quy tụ những người "WANNA PLAY" – vì trong CI, sự hợp tác, tin tưởng và tò mò là cốt lõi. Chào đón mọi trình độ!

Về giáo viên: Guru Suraj & Adrianna Michalska
Guru Suraj là một nghệ sĩ thị giác và chuyển động, tập trung vào nghiên cứu, tổ chức cộng đồng và biểu diễn liên ngành.
Anh có bằng Cử nhân Hội họa từ Government College of Fine Arts, Chennai, và bằng Thạc sĩ Triết học Yoga từ Đại học Thể dục Thể thao Tamilnadu.
Với 15 năm thực hành Contact Improvisation và các kỹ thuật somatic, anh đã tạo điều kiện cho giao lưu văn hóa khắp Ấn Độ, châu Âu, Hoa Kỳ và Canada.
Adrianna Michalska là facilitator và nghệ sĩ độc lập với nền tảng về somatics, múa đương đại và ứng tấu.
Cô có bằng Khiêu vũ và Văn hóa từ Đại học Surrey, hoàn thành khóa học Next Choreography tại Siobhan Davies Studios và là giáo viên DanceAbility được chứng nhận.
Các tác phẩm của cô khám phá sáng tạo tập thể thông qua sự chú tâm chung, nhận thức và ra quyết định. Cô đã biểu diễn và dạy workshop tại Ấn Độ, Thái Lan, Romania, Ba Lan, Anh, Singapore, Malaysia, Hoa Kỳ, Đức, Tây Ban Nha và nhiều nơi khác.
