Bump Night: Free Singles Mixer by Grand Central
Bump Night is a singles night with no host, no name tags and no speed-dating bell. The app does the introductions.
How it works
Before you come, set up your free Bump profile at https://bump.moi. It runs in your phone's browser and takes about two minutes, with one photo.
Come to Bierhaus NYC any time between 7 and 10 pm, get a drink and take a seat at the long communal tables in the main hall.
Open Bump and go live. You'll see the singles in the room whose preferences fit yours both ways: who each person is interested in, and an age range Bump sets from each person's age.
Say yes or pass. Nobody is told about a pass. If you both say yes, a chat opens and you each see the other's code word, so you can find each other and say hi.
Good to know
Free. There are no tickets to buy and nothing to buy from Bump. It's a normal Thursday night at Bierhaus: you order and pay for your own food and drinks.
21+ (the bar's rule). Bring ID.
Nobody from Bump runs the room. Come alone or with a single friend.
Nobody on Bump sees where you are or how far away you are, and a chat opens only after a mutual yes. Safety: https://bump.moi/safety
Turnout depends on who comes, so the number of people and the mix aren't guaranteed.
