Modern Alchemy with Marathon Fusion
In San Francisco, Marathon Fusion is working to bring the power of the stars down to Earth. Fusion could give the world abundance in both energy and rare materials, made through transmutation: turning one element into another. Marathon is building the technology to unlock fusion’s full potential.
Join us for a special evening at Marathon’s headquarters with Jason Parisi and Kyle Schiller of Marathon Fusion, hosted by Cameron Wiese of World’s Fair Co.
We’ll talk about the science of fusion, how fusion neutrons could produce rare medical isotopes for cancer treatments and even turn mercury into gold, and what a world with abundant clean energy could look like. We'll then tour the lab and see some demos.

About
There’s an incredible amount of innovation happening here in the Bay Area and many reasons to be excited about the future. Too often, this work is hidden behind closed doors or lost in the noise of day-to-day headlines. This event is part of a series of conversations with innovators building the future here. Our goal is to inspire people with positive visions, connect them to the work being done in the city, and leave everyone a bit more optimistic about what’s ahead.
The World’s Fair Co. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a simple mission: inspire and enable people to build the future. Our work carries on the rich legacy of the World’s Fairs that once gave people a place where they could touch, feel, and experience the future.
