Reimagining Black Excellence: Pathways for Success for Black Neurodiverse Youth and Families
Unsure of how to navigate systems alone with your disability or advocate for your accommodations? Do you know your rights as a student or as an employee with a disability?
This workshop teaches youth the practical tools for self-advocacy, accommodations, disability rights, and navigating school, work, and community systems with confidence.
About the Youth Empowerment Series
You deserve spaces where you do not have to explain yourself, hide who you are, or navigate everything alone.
The Youth Empowerment Series is a free monthly drop-in workshop space designed for Black neurodivergent youth and young adults ages 18–24 across Durham Region.
These workshops focus on identity, confidence, self-advocacy, leadership, emotional wellness, accessibility, community, and creating a future that reflects your strengths and goals.
Whether you’re diagnosed, undiagnosed, self-identified, in school, working, or figuring things out, this space is for you.

• Meet other Black neurodivergent youth
Who Should Attend?
Black neurodivergent youth ages 18–24.
