The Healer’s Harvest: A Black Practitioner Meetup
In the journey of holding space for others, the healer must also be held. OnePeople Philanthropy invites melanated practitioners of all modalities—reiki masters, somatic therapists, doulas, herbalists, and spiritual guides—to The Healer’s Harvest. This is a dedicated bimonthly sanctuary for those who pour into the community to finally pour back into themselves.
The Intention
This is not a networking event; it is a nourishment circle. We recognize that Black practitioners often carry the unique weight of ancestral and collective healing. The Healer’s Harvest is a space to:
Gather in Safety: Be in a room where your lived experience is the baseline, not the exception.
Share Wisdom: Ask questions about best practices, ethical boundaries, and the business of healing in a culturally resonant way.
Nourish the Self: Enjoy intentional stillness and communal care before returning to your work.
The Flow
The Grounding: A collective breath and clearing to transition from "facilitator" to "participant."
The Story Circle: An open floor for sharing successes, challenges, and the stories that define our current season of work.
Best Practice Exchange: A collaborative "think-tank" for navigating the complexities of Black-led wellness.
Communal Nourishment: Light, high-vibrational refreshments provided to ground the energy before we depart.
A Note on the Space
The OnePeopleTO Sanctuary is a space of reclamation. Please remember:
Accessibility: Our historic building (est. 1893) requires the use of stairs for entry and is not wheelchair accessible.
Sanctuary Protocol: We ask all practitioners to remove their shoes and silence their devices upon entry to honor the collective rest of the group.
"When we heal ourselves, we heal our ancestors. When we heal our community, we heal the future."
