The venue is the legendary Sound City Studio in Los Angeles birthplace of many famous albums and immortalized in the Dave Grohl documentary.
The evening starts in the intimate setting of the green screen sound stage with the virtuoso backing band including:
Scott Page, saxophonist for Pink Floyd and Toto
Stephen Perkins, drummer for Jane's Addiction
Norwood Fisher, bass for Fishbone
Derek Day, vocals for Mötley Crüe
Then the MC, Ted Cohen, former exec at EMI Records, moderates a panel on the need to 'rock the machine' that has gone off the rails and to nudge it back onto the right course.
