History of Ideas Seminar: A Habsburg Liberal in Twentieth-Century Europe

Join us on September 24th for a lecture by Dr. Joshua Bennet from the University of Oxford to examine the life of Freidrich Hertz and his impact on twentieth-century Europe.

The History of Ideas seminar is a bi-weekly research seminar that brings leading scholars to campus to The University of Texas at Austin to present works in progress and engage in rigorous intellectual exchange. Designed as a multidisciplinary forum, this seminar convenes faculty, postdoctoral fellows and graduate students from across the humanities to discuss frontline research in intellectual history and the history of ideas.

The History of Ideas Seminar series is co-hosted by the Civitas Institute and the Center for Humanities at the University of Texas at Austin.
