WE ARE ALL FORESTS Women Protecting Nature: Creativity as a Force for Cultural Resilience
We Are All Forests recognises Indigenous women as generators of life and guardians of knowledge - from seed cultivation to land stewardship - whose political and community roles are inseparable from territorial protection. Science confirms it: Indigenous-held lands are among the most biodiverse on earth.
As climate impacts escalate, supporting these women economically, legally and culturally must be a priority. Thriving forests are vital to fighting climate change, and Indigenous cultures led by women are often our first and most important line of defense.
What role can creativity play in building cultural resilience and uniting us behind women protecting nature? Creativity can shift consciousness, change the agenda, and drive transformation - building hope, pride and security locally while working globally through the socio-bioeconomy, innovation, radical collaboration and critical systems change.
Creativity spreads awareness and joy, uniting us as one human family to face the critical challenges before us. The future must be creative, and we must come together.
We're honoured to convene leading Indigenous women activists and allies at the forefront of climate action and nature protection to learn, reflect and create together. Join us for this special, intimate gathering.
