​Barcelona is a city built on contradictions. The gothic spires of the Sagrada Família scrape the sky while developers hollow out neighborhoods for tourists and biotech corporations patent the seeds of tomorrow. The Mediterranean glitters blue, but beneath the postcard views are shadow economies and restless spirits.

​Yet something alive is sprouting in the cracks. In squat labs tucked into old factories of Poblenou, in rooftop greenhouses above El Raval, in community gardens along the Besòs—punks with pipettes, rogue rebellious hackers are bending biology toward new forms of survival. The biotech cartels sell molecules as luxury goods, but the underground is already rewriting the code.

​This isn’t a networking night. This is a resistance node. A clandestine convergence of the Biopunk underground: renegade scientists, anarchist engineers, and urban growers experimenting with bioluminescent vines and outlaw cultures. We’ll trade field notes beneath the glow of Gaudí’s unfinished cathedral, swap survival tactics along the Ramblas, and plot futures that don’t wait for permission.

​Barcelona isn’t content to be a tourist backdrop for biotech capital. We’re building something bottom-up, regenerative, unlicensed, and unstoppable. Come ready to plug in.
