WIE Speaker Series with Nikkole Denson-Randolph

​Nikkole was elevated to Senior Vice President, U.S. Chief Content Officer In February 2025, giving her full oversight and responsibility for AMC’s film programming & content department, and making her AMC’s top representative to the Hollywood distributors. Her appointment to one of the top roles in all of theatrical exhibition follows a 16-year career at AMC Theatres, where she has made a profound impact on the industry and millions of moviegoers around the country. Through her focus on and dedication to independent film, storytelling, and content that appeals to a wide array of audiences, Nikkole wrote the playbook for how independent film is programmed and played at AMC.

​Prior to her current position, Nikkole served as AMC’s Senior Vice President of Content Strategy & Inclusive Programming from 2020 to 2025, Vice President of Content Strategy & Inclusive Programming from 2018 to 2020, and Vice President, Alternative & Special Content from 2009 until 2018. Before joining AMC, she served as the Director of Business Development for Starbucks Coffee Company’s entertainment group, from 2004 to 2009. Nikkole also previously served as President of Magic Johnson Entertainment and Vice President of Magic Johnson Enterprises. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of California at Davis. In 1995, she obtained a Doctor of Jurisprudence from The University of San Francisco and has been a member of the California State Bar since 1996.
