About Event

Every Friday, the room opens.

Global Happy Hour started as a refuge. It became something else - a real operational home base for Africa's quantum community and everyone serious enough to want proximity to it. Builders, researchers, students, operators, diaspora who never stopped paying attention. The room has a pulse now.

Artemis II launched April 1.

While the rocket made headlines, South Africa quietly delivered critical Doppler tracking and communications support for the crewed Orion flyby - proof Africa is already inside the mission’s operational stack.

Global Happy Hour this week began as a conversation about Artemis and quickly moved into the real terrain: timing, sensing, standards, access, power, and what Africa must build before the architecture hardens. That is the point of the room. Not chatter. Strategic debate on science, technology, governance, and the future of Africa and the wider world.

The full dispatch below recaps the debate and sets up where we go next.

Recording stays off. Come speak freely. Come sharp or come to get sharp - both are fine.

Hosted by the AQC Core Team and the wider global quantum community that keeps showing up.

Africa's quantum future will not organize itself. We are doing that now.
