Celebrating Black History Month with Opal Franklin, Talent Consultant

​Opal Franklin is a Bay Area based, multi-passionate techie who has worked at startups and in venture capital. She’s advised early-stage founders, sourced talent, and built out recruiting frameworks around DEI and employee resources groups.

​Currently, Opal is a full-spectrum birthworker (doula), supporting and advocating for employees expanding their families through adoption/ foster care, fertility, pregnancy / postpartum, abortion, birth, loss, and otherwise.

​Her practice, Eponymous, provides support designed to reduce overall birth-related medical spend by improving health outcomes while keeping employees healthy and happy as they build families on their own terms.

​Her passion and focus on human-centered organizational design coupled with her lived experience as a black woman navigating corporate America allows her to share much needed perspective in celebration of Black History Month, 2023.
