Blockspace Forum at Devconnect Argentina
About
Blockspace Forum is an invite-only, single-track working session for stakeholders and participants in Ethereum’s blockspace market. The goal is to stress-test the current market structure and brainstorm concrete mechanisms to improve it, focusing on value creation and distribution, robustness, performance and services. The workshop will conclude with a short, prioritised list of implementable next steps.
Format
Each session opens with a brief (≤5 min) framing talk by the session lead, then moves into guided group discussions and whiteboarding driven by pre-circulated prompts.
Sessions:
Economics: Value creation and distribution. Topics include validator–originator splits, collaborative/merged block building, multi-dimensional fees, exclusive orderflow, public vs private orderflow, latency effects on block value, allocation mechanisms, and incentives across operators
Robustness: Topics include censorship resistance and neutrality, inclusion guarantees, client/builder diversity, correlated-risk reduction, geographic decentralization
Performance: Latency-optimized pipeline within Ethereum’s guarantees. Topics include colocation, geographic rotation, and APS-adjacent experimentation out-of-protocol
Services: Value add blockspace services. Topics include validator commitments, inclusion lists and preconfirmations, futures/forwards, and service tiers with predictable execution rules
Participants
Individuals from a curated mix of Ethereum blockspace ecosystem participants/stakeholders including validators, relays, builders, searchers, wallets, OFA providers, RPCs, Rollups, infra operators and researchers.
Capacity target: 25–50 for depth over breadth
