JIZZFEST: Sequencing your genome from semen
Join like-minded fellas at the frontier of biotech, fertility, and longevity to learn about THE new painless way to get your genomic data into your hands. As with all genomic sequencing data stacks, folks with prior genomic data are welcum!
This seminal workshop will include a didactic portion where you will learn about your swimmers and how they can contribute toward your genome, lab safety orientation, assisted hands-on sample processing, and sequencing platform onboarding. BYOC: Bring your own computers.
Arrive WITH your samples to ensure an efficient, synchronous, hands-on workshop. For comfort, sample collection materials will be made available starting several days before the event and distributed to confirmed registrants. Arrive at the latest 1 hour before the event to receive an appropriate sample collection device.
You will learn how to process your own semen sample and will be walked through signing up for optional third-party sequencing.
You keep 100% of your samples and any resulting data to do with as you see fit.
You are free to (re)analyze your resulting data in any way you see fit. If you are new to genomics, we will try to point you in the right direction.
