No Integrity Without Inclusion: Gender and the Future of Carbon Markets

Thursday, June 25, 2026 | 9:30–11:00am (BST), followed by networking
Building Centre, 26 Store Street, London

Voluntary carbon markets are at an important inflection point. As scrutiny around integrity continues to deepen, we believe there is an urgent need to examine how inclusion — particularly women’s participation and value creation — connects directly to project performance, governance, and permanence.

This session will bring together leaders from across the carbon market ecosystem — including standards bodies, project developers, ratings agencies, MRV providers, financiers, and buyers — to explore how gender co-benefits are being measured, verified, valued, and financed, and what it would take for markets to recognize inclusion as a material driver of integrity rather than a parallel impact narrative.

The discussion will feature perspectives from organizations including ICVCM, WOCAN, and more.
