About Rachel Goldstein: I am really excited to be offering some walk-in counseling hours and free evaluations for letters of support if you are getting gender affirming surgery. I am dedicated to creating a safe, non- judgmental and comfortable holding space for you to feel supported, wherever you are and in whatever you are going through. My goal is that you leave my office knowing you have been heard, seen and affirmed regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation, age, immigration status or education level. I am constantly in awe of our shared humanity, resiliency and ability to adapt.

A little about me…I received my graduate degrees in both Social Work and Special Education in 2000. I work using strengths based, trauma informed care and have expertise in reproductive healthcare, LGBTQ+ care, addictions, sexual violence, Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy, crisis intervention, self-injury and trans health. The past 9 years of my career have been focused on working alongside medical providers who provide Gender Affirming Hormone Therapy at Planned Parenthood of Greater NY (where I have been a SW for 16 years). I am committed to bodily autonomy, lifelong learning, reproductive justice, advocacy and cultural humility.  Every day I learn from my patients whom I trust deeply as the experts in their own experiences.
