This is being run in collaboration with the Cambridge Animal Advocacy Forum (CAAF), a new society aimed at advancing and platforming the cause for animal rights and welfare.

The Animal Welfare Strategy for England was published in December, and the Government has already released two consultations which we will be completing:
🐓 Cage reform: proposed ban on keeping laying hens, pullets and breeder layers in cages One of the most significant potential improvements for egg-laying hens in the UK, affecting 7 million hens at any time. Guide here if you can't make the session
🐑 Lamb welfare: proposed changes to castration and tail docking methods - We won't cover this in the 20 minutes, but you can see the guide to filling this consultation here (content warning).
