PhD Students Network: Open Meeting
This open meeting aims to bring together PhD students from across different universities to talk about the issues we face in our working and student lives. All of us struggle with some combination of overwork, isolation, low pay, difficult supervisory relationships, caring responsibilities, visa complications, and numerous other problems, but we rarely get to talk about them collectively.
This initial open meeting aims to combat that problem. We will be hearing from some ongoing PhD campaigns and discussing the potential for a cross-university network to support PhD students’ organising. Whether you're actively campaigning or have no idea where to start, we hope to provide a space where we can talk about our experiences and get to know each other a bit better!
