Studio Bumi Community Bake Sale
Join us for a community-led bake sale & food drive with all profits donated to food-assistance & mutual aid organizations! You may typically know Studio Bumi for our communal dining series or various culinary projects with our friends, but with the holidays quickly approaching and food-assistance programs under threat, we wanted to take a slightly different approach this month to show up for our community!
The heart of the event will be a collective grazing table of homemade sweets and baked goods, made by our community of bakers and friends. Prices of baked goods will either be $4 or $8.
The Bake Sale will be a collective table of homemade sweets and baked goods, made by our community of bakers and friends. Each contributor offers one item, from cookies to pies, that comes together into a large, shared grazing table.
All profits from the event (minus the cost for space rental, operational items and honorarium for our operation team members) will be donated to two local organizations we are partnering with:
**Make the Road NY -** focused on serving immigrant & working class communities in achieving dignity and justice
**Why Hunger -** supports communities in taking control of their own food systems and ending hunger
