Who's behind this?
This event is organized by Effective Altruism Barcelona, a group of people interested in finding out the best ways of helping others and putting it into practice.

More concretely, this looks like:
- Giving to charities with strong evidence that they save or improve lives
- Choosing careers that tackle big, neglected problems, like global poverty, animal welfare, or making sure AI goes well for humanity
- Taking ideas seriously, changing our minds when the evidence says so, and helping each other figure out where we can make the biggest difference

In Barcelona, we're a friendly mix of students, professionals, and the generally curious. We run socials, coworking sessions, talks, and reading groups.

This event is open to everyone. No prior knowledge needed. Curious people very welcome!
