About Event

The UK needs to build more infrastructure. But too many projects are slow to deliver, go over budget or fail to deliver the benefits originally promised. At the same time, public trust in government and the institutions responsible for planning and delivering infrastructure is under pressure.

This event, hosted by The Future Governance Forum and The Institution of Civil Engineers, will explore how more effective public involvement can address both challenges.

Join us for a discussion bringing together perspectives from infrastructure, government and beyond to explore how we can build a more constructive relationship between the public, decision-makers and the infrastructure projects that shape our communities.

Speakers include:

  • Polly Mackenzie: CEO and co-founder of Zinc Innovation Partners, and FGF Board member

  • Jonathan Spruce: Director of Infrastructure at Tees Valley Combined Authority and Trustee of Institution of Civil Engineers

  • Catherine Howard: Partner at Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer

  • Lynsey Duffield: Director of Project Delivery at NISTA
