Growing Home NWA Event Featuring Joe Minicozzi of Urban3
Doors open at 11:00 a.m. for lunch and networking
Program begins at noon.
The Northwest Arkansas Council and Groundwork will host a special Growing Home NWA event, featuring Joe Minicozzi, founder and principal of Urban3 and one of the most influential voices in contemporary urban planning.
Growing Home NWA is developing a bold regional strategy to help Northwest Arkansas plan for a future approaching 1 million residents. The strategy will guide how the region prepares for more housing, enhanced transportation and open space preservation as growth continues at one of the fastest rates in the country. The full strategy will be made public this spring, and this event provides an early look at the ideas and analysis informing that work.
Joe and his Urban3 team are collaborating with DPZ CoDesign to develop the strategy. Their work brings a powerful blend of design and economic analysis that helps communities understand the real fiscal impact of land-use decisions and development. Joe is also deeply familiar with Northwest Arkansas. Urban3 has provided land use and fiscal impact analysis in Bentonville, helping local leaders understand how development patterns affect long-term economic performance.
Urban3 uses a clear, visual approach to show how land use, community design and tax policies shape the economic strength of a place over time. Their work has supported communities in more than 30 states as well as Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
This event will build momentum for the Growing Home NWA strategy and support ongoing efforts to align planning across Northwest Arkansas. Lunch is provided.
