About Event

We are working in one of the most uncertain political moments the climate movement has faced. Funding is shifting. Messaging is being tested. And the question of how we maintain momentum - as organisations, as activists, as a sector, as a movement - has never been more pressing. This is a national emergency - and we need to act.

This evening brings together a curated group of climate actors for an honest, high-quality conversation about how we adapt and build resilience in times of change, and take action.

Hosted by Subak, a climate action incubator equipping the climate movement with the skills, knowledge, and networks to drive systems change; and held as part of London Climate Action Week, this is a space designed for the people doing this work to come together.

What to expect:

  1. Panel discussion & audience Q&A - A curated panel of speakers chaired by Clover Hogan, including Asad Rehman (CEO, Friends of the Earth), Chris Venables (Green Alliance), Emily Barrett (Sustainable Ventures), with more to be announced.

  2. National Emergency Briefing screening - An introduction to the National Emergency Briefing and the national movement it is trying to create in place-based climate action through a 50-minute film, launched in April 2026, designed to inform the UK public about the urgent climate and nature crisis, based on expert testimonies from a Nov 2025 Westminster event. We will be joined by Professor Hugh Montgomery OBE (UCL), representing NEB to open and ground us ahead of the screening.

  3. Discussion, Networking and Drinks - Space before and after the programme to connect with a broad spectrum of people working across civil society, policy, and the climate sector generally.

This is an invited and curated gathering of around 100 people and we’d love for you to be a part of it.

Disclaimer: The National Emergency Briefing film contains distressing content about climate breakdown.

  • We will be providing time for emotional reflection following the screening.

Hosted by Subak. In partnership with National Emergency Briefing, Sustainable Ventures & London Climate Action Week.
