Long-time null meetup patron Ashish Ghodake attended the AWS re:Inforce conference this year, and he will tell us all about it!
Talk 1. Cloud Crumbs & Dark Web Dragnets: A Purple Team Hunt
Shashank will take the audience on a deep dive into how attackers leave behind subtle traces misconfigured Cloud Assets, Leaked Keys, Exposed APIs and how defenders, can hunt them down by combining Red Team tactics, Blue Team Detection, and Dark Web Intelligence. He will walk through real-world scenarios where cloud missteps turned into attack vectors, and how OSINT, threat intel, and tight red-blue collaboration can be used to trace and contain them. This talk is for anyone who wants practical insights into modern threat hunting across cloud and dark web surfaces.
Talk 2. Policy as Code: How Policy Engines Secure Modern Infrastructure
In this talk, Ruhika will discuss different Policy engines and how policies secure our environment. She will compare how tools like OPA, Kyverno-JSON, and Kubewarden offer different languages, semantics, and integrations, but each comes with trade-offs in expressiveness, performance, and developer experience. She will explore their strengths, gaps, and emerging trends like WASM and shift-left validation.
