SOY-BRAISED (a pop-up)
HEYDOH (your favorite soy sauce brand) is throwing a pop-up!
SOY-BRAISED aka 滷味 lǔ wèi
THE MENU: A tight ensemble of classic soy-simmered hits—kelp, jammy eggs, tofu, pork belly—plus rice. Braised with HEYDOH Classic Soy Sauce and finished with HEYDOH Silky Soy Sauce.
THE PRICE: $16 per person (pre-paid) / $18 for walk-ins. Ticketed event with limited capacity.
✨ Vegetarian and vegan options available ✨
THE CHEF: Taiwanese American chef Jocelyn Ueng—a decorated alumni of The French Laundry, Satoyama Jujo, and most recently Noma. She’s currently developing her own restaurant in the Hudson Valley, slated for 2027.
THE INSPIRATION: Taiwan’s street stalls, where seasonal ingredients are slowly braised in a simple, savory base of soy sauce and stock.
OTHER STUFF: HEYDOH co-founder Christine Liu will be around to talk shop. Bottles of HEYDOH’s single-origin soy sauce, drinks, and additional snacks can be purchased on-site from Myrtle Wombat.
HEYDOH is a single-origin soy sauce brand based in Brooklyn. We brew our sauces with whole non-GMO black soybeans—naturally higher in antioxidants—for a deeper, rounder umami and a clean finish. So good you can sip. Women/AAPI-owned. www.heydoh.co
