Matchpoint is a casual night where we bring together singles to play doubles.
You show up, we put you on a court with a structured rotation, and you play pickleball with a bunch of different people. No apps, no bios, no swiping, no pressure.
How it works
Sign up for the generation you identify with: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X, or Boomer.
We group courts by generation, so you're playing with people in roughly the same chapter of life. But the courts are next to each other, so feel free to wander.
4 people play a game (~15mins), then new people rotate in.
FAQ
Do I need a partner? No. That's the whole point. Come solo.
What if I've never played? Perfect. Pickleball is quick to learn, and people love to teach you. Our staff will be on the floor all night. Paddles and balls provided.
I'm good, though. Will I be bored? It's a social mixer, so skill levels get mixed. Be chill about it. If you want a serious game, stay for Pickle Jamz right after.
I'm on the cusp between generations. Which one do I pick? Can I wander over to another generation's court? Sign up for the generation you identify with, and on the night, hang where you'd like. We're not policing.
Is this for straight people? Queer people? Yes. Everyone's welcome, nobody's sorted, and figuring out who's interested is up to you, the old-fashioned way. We don't guarantee any particular ratio or that anyone in the room is your type.
What if I don't meet anyone? Then you played two hours of pickleball with a room full of friendly people. Worst-case scenario is still pretty good.
What if I meet someone I'm interested in? Nice! Wooing them is up to you. Don't ask us for their contact information, and as always, respect their no.
Can I bring a friend? Yes, if they're also single and also signing up. Moral support is encouraged.
What do I wear? Court shoes and anything you can move comfortably in. Most people will be dressed for the gym.
Food and drinks? Mainstay Provisions on the 3rd floor has beer, wine, and canned cocktails, plus a big lineup of N/A drinks and grab-and-go food.
